Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds.

Your rights when you buy an MRCPsych Prep pass, in plain English. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. In short

  • You can cancel within 14 days of buying for a full refund, as long as you haven’t started using the question bank.
  • At checkout you ask for access to start straight away and confirm that you lose the right to cancel once you start using it.
  • If anything is faulty or not as described, you can ask for it to be fixed or for some or all of your money back, at any time during your pass.
  • To ask, email support@mrcpsychprep.com with your order number.

2. Your 14-day right to cancel

A pass is digital content supplied online. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days from the day you buy to cancel without giving a reason.

Because you can start revising the moment your payment is confirmed, the checkout asks you to tick a box that says: “I want access to start now, and I understand I lose my 14-day right to cancel once I start using the question bank.” You can’t continue to payment without it.

This means:

  • If you haven’t started using the question bank, you can cancel within 14 days of buying and get a full refund.
  • Once you start using it, the right to cancel ends. “Using” means answering a question or starting a timed mock exam that needs your pass, after your payment is confirmed.
  • The free sample questions and the free starting check don’t count, whether you used them before or after buying.

We check this against the answer history on your account. You don’t need a special form: any clear message that you want to cancel is enough.

3. Faulty or not as described

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. This applies for the whole of your pass, whether or not you have started using it.

If something isn’t right, for example a feature described on this site doesn’t work, or the service is unavailable for a significant time, tell us. We will:

  • fix it, or replace the faulty content, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you; or
  • if we can’t, give you a price reduction, which can be a full refund.

A single question you think is wrong is best reported as a correction (with the question wording), and we will check and fix it. Disagreeing with how difficult the real exam turned out to be, or not passing it, is not a fault in the content.

4. How to ask

  1. Email support@mrcpsychprep.com from the email address on your account.
  2. Include your Lemon Squeezy order number (it is on your receipt) and tell us whether you are cancelling within 14 days or reporting a fault.
  3. We reply by email, normally within 5 working days.

5. How refunds are paid

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for MRCPsych Prep: it sells the pass, takes your payment and issues receipts. Agreed refunds are made through Lemon Squeezy to the payment method you used, within 14 days of our agreeing the refund. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

When a pass is refunded in full, access from that pass ends. A partial refund for a fault does not end your access unless we agree that with you.

6. Older monthly subscriptions

Some early customers have a monthly subscription from before passes were introduced. You can cancel it at any time from your Account page or from the link on your Lemon Squeezy receipt. Cancelling stops future payments, and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. Your rights for faulty content apply to the subscription too.
